How to Connect Your Walmart Account to Luminous

This guide will walk you through the process of connecting your Walmart account to Luminous to manage inventory and sales orders effectively.

Step 1: Access System Settings

  1. Navigate to your name in the bottom left corner of Luminous.

  2. Click System Settings.

  3. Select App Integration Account Settings.


Step 2: Create a New App Account

  1. In the App Integration Account Settings, click New App Account.

  2. Under App Type, select Track Star.

  3. Assign a label for the connection (e.g., "Walmart") for easy identification.

  4. Specify the Inventory Quantity Type to pull:

    • Options include On Hand or Sellable.


Step 3: Configure Inventory and Product Settings

  1. Toggle on the following options:

    • Get Products

    • Show Inventory Location
      These settings ensure accurate inventory pulls and location mapping.

  2. Click Connect WMS and wait for the connection to load.


Step 4: Connect to Walmart

  1. Click Continue once the connection loads.

  2. In the modal, select Walmart.

  3. Click Connect Walmart:

    • This will redirect you to Walmart’s login page.

    • Enter your Walmart credentials and validate the connection.


Step 5: Manage Product SKUs

  1. After connecting, click the three dots next to the Walmart connection and select Manage Products.

  2. Ensure the SKUs in Walmart align with the SKUs in Luminous:

    • Proper SKU mapping ensures inventory is pulled correctly and sales are linked to the appropriate products in Luminous.


Step 6: Configure Walmart Warehouse Group

  1. Navigate to Locations:

    • Edit an existing warehouse group or create a new one.

  2. Mark the warehouse group as Externally Managed and select Walmart as the option.

  3. Enable specific settings:

    • Pull Stocks: To sync inventory from Walmart.

    • Pull Shipments: To track inbound shipments, similar to connections with Amazon or other WMS platforms.

  4. Optionally, drill down to track inventory by specific locations if needed.


Step 7: Set Up Sales Order Integration

  1. Go to Channels and create a new channel.

  2. Name the channel (e.g., "Walmart WFS").

  3. Select Pull Sales Orders and choose the Walmart connection.

    • Specify whether the orders are WFS (Walmart Fulfillment Services) or SFS (Seller Fulfilled Services).

  4. Once set up, orders will begin syncing to Luminous.


Your Walmart account is now connected to Luminous, allowing seamless inventory management and sales order tracking.
