Warehouse teams can now configure Sales Orders associated with Transfer Order to automatically update their status to "shipped" on a specified future date. This eliminates the need for manual status updates, especially for clients without 3PL integrations, ensuring better order tracking and reducing operational overhead.

This feature mirrors the existing auto-receive functionality available for Purchase Orders and supports both Transfer Order creation and inbound reconciliation workflows.

How It Works

You can enable the auto-ship setting in two places:

  1. During Transfer Order creation

  2. When reconciling an inbound shipment

Once enabled, the system will automatically mark the associated Sales Order as "shipped" on the selected ship date. The process runs daily at 1 a.m. server time.

Option 1: Enable Auto-Ship When Creating a Transfer Order

  1. Go to Transfer Orders > Create Transfer Order

  2. Fill out the required fields for the TO.

  3. Check the box "Auto Mark Sales Order as Shipped"

  4. Select a Ship Date (must be today or a future date).

  5. Save the transfer order.

πŸ’‘ The ship date determines when the linked SO will be auto-marked as shipped. Ensure this date aligns with your fulfilment schedule.

Option 2: Enable Auto-Ship When Reconciling an Inbound Shipment

  1. Go to Inbound Shipments > Reconcile with Transfer Order

  2. Select the Transfer Order to reconcile.

  3. Check the box "Auto Mark Sales Order as Shipped"

  4. Choose a Ship Date (must be today or a future date).

  5. Complete the reconciliation.

FAQs

What happens if the ship date is in the past?
The system will not allow you to select previous dates.

Will this interfere with 3PL integrations?
No. The system will not push shipment to the 3PL unless you push an inbound shipment.

Can I change the ship date later?
Yes, before the ship date is reached and the SO is shipped.
