⭐️ Receiving workflow has changed for all customers who use Purchase Orders and Receiving ⭐️

We’ve recently released an update to Luminous that introduces optional scan-to-receive functionality for customers who want to scan items as they’re received in the warehouse. This feature will be especially helpful for teams who need to verify quantities or handle partial receipts.

Because of this new capability, the receiving workflow has changed slightly for all customers who use Purchase Orders and Receiving.

What’s new?

When you open a Purchase Order to receive it, instead of the PO items automatically populating:

  • You will now see two options:
    • Scan to Receive – for teams who want to scan items into the receipt
    • Add PO Items – to proceed with the standard receiving workflow

Simply click “Add PO Items” to load your items if you are not using the scanning option.

What stays the same?

  • Dates, locations, and other receiving details work as they always have.

  • You can still update locations or quantities as needed.

  • Once items are added, you’ll complete the receipt exactly the same as before.

This change also applies to shipments, which will now display the same two options.
