Luminous offers functionality to display inventory specific to regions or warehouse groups for targeted users, such as B2B customers or sales teams operating in different areas (e.g., Australia, France, China, or regional zones like East Coast and West Coast). Here's how to configure inventory visibility for specific client types.

Step 1: Access the Client Types Settings

  1. Navigate to Sales > Sales Admin > Client Types.

  2. Locate the client type you want to edit and click Edit.

Step 2: Assign a Warehouse Group

  1. Under the Name field, find the Warehouse Group setting.

  2. Select the appropriate warehouse group for this client type. For example:

    • Select Europe Warehouse Group if the client type is for France or other European customers.

  3. Save the changes.

Step 3: Apply the Client Type to a Company in the CRM

  1. Navigate to the Sales CRM section in Luminous.

  2. Locate the company or customer profile you want to update.

  3. Apply the edited Client Type (e.g., France) to the company profile.

Step 4: Verify Region-Specific Inventory Visibility

  1. Log in as a user associated with the updated client type.

  2. Check the inventory values displayed in the portal.

    • Only inventory from the assigned Warehouse Group (e.g., Europe) will be visible.

    • Users will only see available inventory for their designated region or warehouse group.

Step 5: Process Orders with Correct Inventory Deductions

  1. When a customer places an order, Luminous will automatically deduct inventory from the specified warehouse group (e.g., Europe).

  2. Ensure the correct inventory pile is updated to maintain accurate stock levels.

Additional Notes

  • Multi-Region Management: This functionality ensures that customers or sales teams in different regions view and interact with inventory specific to their location, preventing confusion or stock mismanagement.

  • Flexible Configuration: You can create and manage multiple client types with unique warehouse group assignments for broader inventory segregation.

  • B2B Portal Integration: When customers log in via the B2B portal, they will only see inventory tied to their assigned region, streamlining their ordering experience.

By following these steps, you can effectively segregate and display inventory for different regions, enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
