Active SKUs

Active SKUs are currently available, supported, and sellable products or services within Luminous’ catalog. These SKUs can be:

  • Actively provisioned or assigned to customers.

  • Included in current marketing, quoting, and billing workflows.

  • Eligible for updates, renewals, and customer support.

Discontinued SKUs

Discontinued SKUs are retired or deprecated items no longer available for sale or new provisioning. They remain in the system for historical reference, billing continuity, or renewal management, but:

  • They are not offered to new customers.

  • May still appear in historical reports or legacy contracts.

  • Sometimes replaced by new SKUs (e.g., versioned or renamed product lines).

How to discontinue a SKU?

To discontinue an SKU you will have two(2) options:

A. Manual update using Inventory tab

Use search or Add Filter if needed (e.g., by Product, Location).

  3. Open row actions
On the SKU’s row, click the three dots (⋮) at the far right.
(Matches your screenshot with the action menu.)

  4. Choose “Discontinue SKU”
In the menu, click Discontinue SKU.

  5. Confirm
In the confirmation dialog, review the warning and click Confirm/Discontinue.

B. Import using Tool tab - Imports

  6. On mapped fields, scroll down to bottom and Click "Next".

  7. The SKU(s) to be discontinued will be displayed. Once confirmed, click “Import.”

  8. Allow the import process to complete. A notification will appear indicating whether the import was successful or failed.

Note: Ensure that all fields are correctly mapped before importing the SKU update. If the import fails, the system will indicate which specific field was mapped incorrectly.
