šŸ” Recommended Quick Health Check for Your Shopify Integration

If you're using Shopify, here’s a quick and easy health check to make sure your integration is fully connected and that all fulfillment information is flowing correctly between Luminous ↔ Shopify.

Earlier this year, we released Fulfillment Orders, which require a few updated Shopify app permissions (scopes). Some accounts may still be missing these, which can cause issues with tracking or fulfillment syncing.

āœ… How to Check Your Connection in Luminous

  1. In Luminous, go to Your Name → Integrations

  2. Select your Shopify connection

  3. Click the āœļø icon

  4. Click Test Credentials

  5. If you see a message such as ā€œMissing required scopesā€, you’ll need to update your custom Shopify app.

šŸ› ļø How to Fix Missing Scopes in Shopify

Follow these steps to update the permissions (scopes) on your Shopify app:

Step 1 — Go to Your Shopify Settings

  1. Open Shopify

  2. Go to Settings → Apps and Sales Channels

  3. Click Develop Apps

  4. Select the custom app you created during Luminous implementation

Step 2 — Update Your App’s Scopes

  1. Go to the Configuration tab

  2. Click Edit

  3. Compare your app scopes with the required Luminous scopes listed here:

4. In your Shopify app, enable any missing scopes—these are usually the fulfillment-related ones, such as:

  • read_orders

  • write_orders

  • read_fulfillments

  • write_fulfillments

  • write_assigned_fulfillment_orders

  • write_merchant_managed_fulfillment_orders

  • Etc.

Step 3 — Save & Refresh

  1. Save your updated scopes in Shopify

  2. Return to Luminous and refresh your browser

  3. Re-run Test Credentials

  4. You should now see: ā€œAll required scopes are availableā€

That’s it! Once these scopes are updated, fulfillment data will flow smoothly between Shopify and Luminous.
