If you're using Shopify, hereās a quick and easy health check to make sure your integration is fully connected and that all fulfillment information is flowing correctly between Luminous ā Shopify.
Earlier this year, we released Fulfillment Orders, which require a few updated Shopify app permissions (scopes). Some accounts may still be missing these, which can cause issues with tracking or fulfillment syncing.
ā How to Check Your Connection in Luminous
In Luminous, go to Your Name ā Integrations
Select your Shopify connection
Click the āļø icon
Click Test Credentials
If you see a message such as āMissing required scopesā, youāll need to update your custom Shopify app.
š ļø How to Fix Missing Scopes in Shopify
Follow these steps to update the permissions (scopes) on your Shopify app:
Step 1 ā Go to Your Shopify Settings
Open Shopify
Go to Settings ā Apps and Sales Channels
Click Develop Apps
Select the custom app you created during Luminous implementation
Step 2 ā Update Your Appās Scopes
Go to the Configuration tab
Click Edit
Compare your app scopes with the required Luminous scopes listed here:
In Luminous, go to Help & Tutorials
Search āShopifyā
Scroll to Configuring Admin Scopes for the full list
4. In your Shopify app, enable any missing scopesāthese are usually the fulfillment-related ones, such as:
read_orders
write_orders
read_fulfillments
write_fulfillments
write_assigned_fulfillment_orders
write_merchant_managed_fulfillment_orders
Etc.
Step 3 ā Save & Refresh
Save your updated scopes in Shopify
Return to Luminous and refresh your browser
Re-run Test Credentials
You should now see: āAll required scopes are availableā
Thatās it! Once these scopes are updated, fulfillment data will flow smoothly between Shopify and Luminous.
