👉 If you utilize the TRANSFER ORDER feature, this is an important update for YOU! Please take a moment to read through this quick change to keep your workflows running smoothly.

What’s Changing:
Transfer Orders now require a Fulfillment Channel instead of a Warehouse Group when selecting the Source Warehouse you will be deducting inventory for.

Why the change?
Transfer Orders were originally released before Luminous introduced the concept of Fulfillment Channels. Since sales orders are fulfilled through channels, it now makes sense for Transfer Orders to follow that same logic. This ensures consistency in how inventory is tracked and where it’s sent.

What You Need to Do:

  1. Create a Fulfillment Channel that includes the warehouse group you want to deduct inventory from.

  2. Select that Fulfillment Channel as the “From” location (or “Source warehouse”) when creating your Transfer Order.

  3. Multiple Source Warehouses? The system will need to know which warehouse group to deduct from, so if you have multiple source warehouses, you will need to create multiple fulfillment channels.

That’s it! The rest of your Transfer Order process stays the same — you’ll just be selecting a channel instead of a warehouse group.

Next Steps:

  • Update any personal or team SOPs to include this new step.

  • Make sure anyone creating or managing Transfer Orders is aware of this update.
