What’s New

  • Incoming Count for Finished Goods
Previously, only components appeared as “Pending” in inventory. Now, finished goods can be tracked during earlier stages of production for more accurate forecasting. Finished goods from assembly orders are now included in inventory stock calculations based on the order status:

Assembly Order Status

Finished Goods Status

Draft

Not counted

Issued

Counted as “Incoming”

In Progress

Counted as “Incoming”

Paused

Counted as “Incoming”

Completed

Moved to “On-hand”

Configurable Setting
This behavior is optional and can be turned on in Inventory Settings.

How to Enable the Setting

  1. Go to Profile → System Settings → Inventory Settings.

  2. Find the toggle: “Put pending assembly orders in incoming stock.”

  3. Turn it on to activate the feature.

If you don’t see this setting available, contact the support team for assistance.

How It Works

Step 1: Create an Assembly Order

  • Navigate to Assembly Orders.

  • Create a new order for a finished good with a valid BOM.

  • If the status is Draft, it will not contribute to the incoming count.

Step 2: Update Order Status

  • Change the status to Issued, In Progress, or Paused.

  • The system will now include the order’s finished goods quantity in the Incoming count.

Step 3: Check Inventory Counts

  • Go to the Inventory page for the finished good.

  • View the quantity reflected under the Incoming tab.

FAQs

Q: Why isn’t my finished good showing in “Incoming” after creating an Assembly Order?
A: Ensure the Assembly Order status is not Draft. Only Issued, In Progress, or Paused statuses are included in incoming counts.

Q: Will this affect current stock calculations?
A: No. This setting applies to newly created Assembly Orders only and does not adjust stock.
