Managing Bundled Product Availability Across Locations

You Can Keep Bundled Products Active — But Stop Them From Selling at Certain Locations

Sometimes a bundled SKU may appear in stock at multiple locations, even when it’s not actually sellable everywhere.
For example, Test 1 could show inventory at Location 1 and Location 2, but Location 2 doesn’t have the necessary bundle boxes to complete the sale.

Instead of deactivating the SKU or removing it entirely, there’s an easy trick:

Use a High Buffer

You can pause selling at specific locations by setting a really high inventory buffer for that SKU.

What does that do?

  • It tells the system to treat the SKU as out of stock at that location.

  • The SKU stays active and keeps selling everywhere else.

  • No need to mess with listings or deactivate the product.

How to Do It

  1. Find the SKU in your inventory system.

  2. Go to the location you want to block.

  3. Set a high buffer — something higher than your total stock (e.g., 999).

  4. Save your changes and double-check that it now shows out of stock at that location.
