Adding Additional Fees (Shipping, Co-Packing, etc.) to Assembly Orders

In Luminous, you can conveniently add extra fees, such as shipping charges or co-packing costs, to your assembly orders. Here are two primary ways to accomplish this:

Option 1: Manually Add Costs on an Assembly Order

  1. Navigate to Assembly Orders in Luminous.

  2. Open or create the relevant assembly order.

  3. Under the Cost Details section, manually enter any additional costs, such as shipping or co-packing fees.

This method allows flexibility, enabling you to specify different costs each time.

Option 2: Permanently Add Costs to a BOM

If additional fees like co-packing are consistent for a specific product, you can incorporate these permanently into the Bill of Materials (BOM).

  1. Create a SKU as a non-sellable item specifically for your additional fee (e.g., Co-Packing Fee).

  2. Adjust the inventory quantity of this SKU to a very high number to avoid stock issues.

  3. Include this SKU in the relevant BOM or assembly order.

This approach standardizes the additional costs, ensuring they are consistently applied across orders.

Choose the method that best fits your business processes and fee structures.
